REQUIREMENTS

  • The health and safety of all the pets in our care is our top priority, therefore, owners must provide proof of up-to-date vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian prior to your pets being allowed in our facility.

  • Vaccines required for dogs are Rabies, Distemper and Parvo. Vaccines required for cats are Rabies, Feline Leukemia, Distemper, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia (FVRCP). All vaccinations being administered for the first time or vaccines expired more than 30 days must be administered a minimum of 7 days prior to arrival. Vaccines less than 30 days expired must be renewed a minimum of 72 hours prior to arrival. WE DO NOT ACCEPT SAME-DAY VACCINES. Puppies and kittens must have completed all rounds of shots prior to being admitted for boarding, bathing or daycare.

As of September 5th, 2022, Pet Resorts will be requiring Bordetella vaccines every 6 months for all dogs entering our facility.

  • Pet owners or their Veterinarians can fax records to us at 1-866-785-9470 or by e-mail to info@petresortsofamerica.com.

  • Boarding check out time is 2:00 p.m.  Pets picked up after 2:00 p.m. will incur a late checkout fee of $18 per pet.

  • Pet Resorts does not accept pregnant animals, terminally ill animals, animals with open wounds or stitches, animals needing post-operative care, animals needing injections, animals with intestinal parasites or any other contagious diseases.  If your animal is found to have any of the above listed conditions, they will not be allowed to stay in our care.

  • If your animal becomes ill while staying at Pet Resorts, our first call is always to the owner.  If the primary owner cannot be reached, we will call the emergency contact listed in your file.  If neither party can be reached, Pet Resorts reserves the right to take the animal for care by a veterinarian at the expense of the owner.

  • Pet Resorts will administer medications provided by the owner to an animal at no charge to the owner. Pet Resorts will not administer injectable medications, chemotherapy medications, radiation medications or any other drug that may cause harm to humans if handled. It is at the discretion of Pet Resorts of America to deny acceptance of dangerous or highly toxic drugs. The owner is responsible for providing and signing-off on all dosing information at check-in. Please note: We are unable to administer medications any later than 6:00 p.m. or any earlier than 6:45 a.m.

  • If pet(s), becomes ill or if the state of the animal’s health otherwise requires professional attention, the Facility, at its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal, and all expenses incurred shall be paid by the Owner. Owner understands that it is still possible for a pet(s) to become ill, even if vaccinated. Owner further understands that this is not due to any circumstance or condition at the Facility and agrees not to hold Facility liable in the event pet becomes ill during or after its stay. In the event that a pet(s) becomes ill while in the care of the Facility, the Facility shall attempt to contact the Owner based on the contact information given at time of reservation. If Owner is not able to be contacted, the Facility shall act in the best interest of the pet(s). If Facility deems it necessary to take the pet(s) for medical treatment by a veterinarian, the Owner shall be responsible for a $35.00/hour (thirty-five dollars per hour) transportation/attendance fee plus the costs incurred for veterinary care. Although Facility will try to take the pet(s) to the veterinarian listed in file by Owner, the Facility shall travel a maximum of a 25 miles radius from the Facility to veterinarian.

  • Pet Resorts does not allow all breeds in daycare, group play or group pool time.  A list of restricted breeds can be found here.
