Why Train your Dog?
To improve your relationship! Training your dog establishes good communications between you and your dog by teaching the behavior you expect from them. Dogs are social pack animals by nature and they have their own language to communicate with each other. In order to have the best relationship possible with your pet, it is important for you to understand their language. They will also take comfort and feel more secure when they know you are the pack leader.
Training not only helps to reinforce your leadership with your pet through communication, but most importantly, dog training helps to give your dog an abiding sense of security. Your pet will begin to understand their place in the relationship, and how to please the one that provides food, strokes and rewards for good behavior!
You may need dog training if your dog:
• Doesn’t obey any of your commands
• Pulls at the leash when walked
• Growls when you try to take food, bones, or toys
• Doesn’t come when called
• Doesn’t respond when you say their name
• Doesn’t sit or stay when told
• Won’t go to “place” (bed or crate) and stay
Let us train your dog for you if you are:
• Too busy or working long hours
• Don’t have the patience or feel you don’t have the ability to train
• Can’t find the time to take your dog to those everyday group classes
• Planning to take that vacation you always wanted
• Going on a business trip
• Moving or remodeling your home
You may want to consider signing your canine companion up for one of our dog training programs. With your busy schedule, it can be hard to find the time necessary to train your pet.
BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM
This program is designed for the owner who loves their dog, but simply doesn’t have time for dog training at home. While boarding, your pet will receive one-on-one personal training sessions with an expert dog trainer during the day and relax at our top of the line pet resort for the evening. Your dog is boarded and trained daily at our resort for either 14 or 21 days of intensive training in what many consider a “K-9 Boot Camp”.
14-Day Board & Train “Basic Skills” includes:
- Focus (Your dog pays attention to you when you say their name)
- Sit (Sit on first command)
- Sit/Stay (Sit on first command and stay for a short time until released)
- Down (Down on first command)
- Down/Stay (Down on first command and stay for a short time until released)
- Come (Come on first command and sit in front of you for a short time until released)
- Heel on leash (Your dog will walk on your left side, turn or change pace as needed, and sit when you come to a stop)
- Large indoor/outdoor run
- Up to two meals per day
- At least 2 Walks per day
- Certificate of Training from Professional Instructors licensed by the State
- Sent home looking and smelling great with a fresh bath, and bandana.
- “Owner Training” we will teach you all of the commands your pet has learned and send you home with some tips and tricks to get the most out of the training they have received.
$795 for the 14-day Basic Skills program.
21-Day Board & Train “Advanced Discipline Training” in addition to the above, the 21-day program also includes:
- Come (Come on first command and sit in front of you until released)
- Place (Your dog will be trained to go to a specific spot and remain until released)
- We can also work on any bad habits. If your dog has any specific bad habits that you would like us to work on, be sure to let us know.
- BONUS: With the 21 day program we will also instruct you on how to teach your dog to properly greet people without jumping up on them and how to go through doors and gates while under complete control.
By spending an extra week of training with our instructor, your dog will be much more disciplined. The down/stays, sit/stays and place/stays will be much longer. We will also teach the “Place” command. Your pet will be trained to go to a mat or towel and remain until released.
Only $1195 for the 21-day Advanced Discipline Training program.
